Get to Know Seven Mile Beach

Ask any tourist or newcomer what they know about the Cayman Islands, apart from it having world-class diving and an attractive tax-neutral jurisdiction, and they will be sure to mention Seven Mile Beach. This beautiful, white sand beach is hard to beat anywhere in the world and is home to a wide range of luxury hotels and condos, along with a wide selection of excellent restaurants, cafes and bars. Not surprisingly, real estate along the Seven Mile Beach corridor, which includes the town of Camana Bay - known for its ‘live, work, play’ concept - is some of the most sought after and expensive on the island.

For anyone wanting waterfront property, there is certainly an excellent choice here, both oceanfront and canalfront - in this area, you are never more than minutes away from the water - on either side of the main road. Purchase a luxury condo from where you can walk directly out on to the powdery sand, or a family home fronting onto a canal with boat moorage and access to North Sound. As such, there are office complexes, banks, and a wide range of world-class restaurants, cafes and bars, plus high-end shopping, medical facilities, fitness centres, an excellent private school, pedestrianized areas and play areas, an observation tower, and the island’s only multiplex cinema. Foster’s, a local supermarket chain, recently opened its flagship store there, offering groceries from the US and the UK, as well as local produce. There is also a vibrant farmers market weekly. Residents can take advantage of moorage facilities as Camana Bay connects directly into North Sound; ferries also run from here to Rum Point and Kaibo on an occasional basis. Seven Mile Beach is just a pleasant stroll away, accessed by a beautifully landscaped pedestrian bridge.

Accommodations in Camana Bay are comprised of luxury rental apartments as well as townhomes and detached homes that are available for purchase. Investors will find this thriving – and constantly growing – community to be a prime hunting ground in terms of attracting both year-round and seasonal renters, offering excellent ROI.
